Dr. Kavita K. Pandit Mentoring Excellence Award

A wise mentor of mine once observed that “great faculty make a great university.” My 36 years as a faculty member and university administrator has cemented this belief: it is faculty who play a central role in student success and in creating and generating new discoveries that fulfill the university’s mission and influence its reputation. The Dr. Kavita K. Pandit Mentoring Excellence Award recognizes those individuals that give generously of their time in mentoring faculty. It also provides support for faculty and leadership development. It is my hope that this fund will draw attention to the central importance of faculty in the continued rise of Georgia State University. - Dr. Kavita K Pandit
