Thanks to your support, we made the trip to Moultrie earlier this month. We worked long nights to see the farm workers in several camps and early mornings to work with their children in a local elementary school. Our group had the pleasure of collaborating with some excellent students from other medical professions, and we were invited to teach the other disciplines about the scope and practice of PT. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and genuinely appreciative of the effort of the student volunteers. We even had the opportunity to tour a local farm, pick fresh produce, and see the intense labor of the farm workers firsthand. Overall, the week was challenging, a great learning opportunity, and one of the most memorable experiences of the GSU DPT program! Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible for our group!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the GSU Physical Therapy Service Trip to Moultrie project and helped make this campaign a success! Thanks to the 55 donors who supported our cause, we exceeded our fundraising goal by $606. With the extra funds, we will be able to purchase even more supplies to treat the farm workers and additional basic necessities to donate to the workers and their families. We are looking forward to helping these individuals and to this incredible learning experience. Stay tuned for updates from our trip and thank you for your generous support!
We're halfway through our project, and have raised almost half of the goal. Thank you so much to everyone who has made a gift so far!
With only 12 days remaining, please continue to help us reach our goal by sharing our project!
Thanks again!
