GSU - Living the Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle Study Abroad in Florence, Italy

Our Program

The Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University is proud to sponsor an incredible opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to study abroad in Florence, Italy with Program Director Jessica Todd. This immersive program offers students the chance to learn more about the Mediterranean diet, known to be one of the healthiest diets in the world and is effective in preventing and treating chronic conditions. During the trip, we will explore Florence and its surrounding regions, learn from food, nutrition, and health leaders, and participate in hands-on culinary workshops. Students will be able to deepen their knowledge of not only health and food, but also Mediterranean culture in this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Our Goal

The program will take place from May 13th to May 22nd, 2025. We have set a goal to raise $12,000 to help offset the travel costs for students. Your donation will help make it possible for these students to embark on this journey, allowing them to broaden their perspectives and be a part of this unforgettable experience!
