The GSU Counseling Center Presents: Suicide Prevention Week September 9th-13th 2024
The Georgia State University Counseling Center is hosting our annual Suicide Prevention Week, and we are reaching out to the Atlanta community because we know you share our commitment to mental well-being and safety. This week aims to remind our students that support is always available, whether or not they currently need it. Through daily events, we will raise awareness about suicide warning signs and risk factors, promote hope and resilience, encourage help-seeking, reduce stigma, and provide vital mental health resources. Our goal is to reassure students that they are not alone, honor those affected by suicide, and empower them to prioritize their mental well-being for academic and personal success.
Your donation would greatly contribute to the success of this event and support our mission. Together, we can advocate for and support suicide prevention initiatives, making a positive impact on many lives. Here are the events planned for Suicide Prevention Week:

Donors who give to the Counseling Services Crowdfunding Fund are supporting the Counseling Center’s operating fund and will allow the Counseling Center staff to host the event.

Bronze Donors
Donors at the Bronze level ($100-499) receive verbal recognition on GSU’s Be Well Panthers Instagram page and receive verbal recognition at the symposium.
$500
Silver Donors
Donors at the Silver level ($500-$799) receive verbal recognition at both the symposium, verbal recognition at the Suicide Awareness Expo, and two days of verbal recognition on the GSU’s Be Well Panthers Instagram page.
$800
Gold Donors
Donors at the Gold level ($800 - $1,000) receive verbal recognition on the GSU Be Well Panthers Instagram page, opportunity to present at a future lunch and learn event at the Counseling Center, and a personalized thank-you certificate of appreciation.
