Dear Alumni, 

Alumni like you and me are part of what makes Perimeter College such a special place. Whether you attended when it was DeKalb College, DeKalb Community College, Georgia Perimeter College or Georgia State University’s Perimeter College, the time we spent there was formative, a launchpad for our career successes and more.

Perimeter College needs our help ensuring that current and future students can create their own success stories, just as we did. However, Perimeter students often face significant challenges in pursuing their education.
 
 Consider the following:  

• 68 percent attend school part-time, often while juggling multiple jobs and supporting or raising a family.
• Nearly a quarter must learn to navigate higher education on their own because they are the first in their families to go to college.
• 67 percent have incomes low enough to qualify for Pell Grants and other financial aid.
