OUR PROJECT
Next month, the Georgia State University Marching Band departs on the trip of a lifetime: we will be traveling 900 miles to New York City to march in the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, performing for more than 3.5 million live spectators and 50 million at-home viewers.
The goal of this project is to cover the fuel costs for our trip from Atlanta to New York City and back. We will travel nearly 2,000 miles round-trip with five buses and one equipment truck for a total of nearly 10,000 combined miles. We need your help to Fuel The Band…literally!
WHY CONTRIBUTE
Your contribution will have a direct and significant impact towards getting the band to and from New York. As one can imagine, it is no easy or inexpensive task to move 200+ students to and from New York City. Each donation will help us cover the cost to Fuel The Band. Could you imagine running out of gas on the side of the road with 200 people headed to New York?..Of course not! Your support will make sure the Georgia State Band travels to and from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade safely and smoothly.
