Please help us honor retiring Social Work faculty, Dr. Mindy Wertheimer, through the creation of the Mindy R. Wertheimer Scholarship for Community Partnerships and Social Justice.
Dr. Mindy Wertheimer is Social Work faculty retiring this year after more than 30 years at GSU. Dr. Wertheimer has held various roles in the School of Social Work since 1980 including the school’s first director of field education, associate faculty in the Nonprofit Studies Program, and Director of the Master of Social Work program. Dr. Wertheimer is an expert in nonprofit board governance and social work pedagogy, and earned her PhD in higher education administration and leadership from Georgia State University. At news of Dr. Wertheimer’s retirement, Social Work faculty want to establish an endowed scholarship in Dr. Wertheimer’s honor.
Contributions to this project will be placed in a temporary holding fund in the Andrew Young School of Policy studies until the Endowment Level is reached.
